For information on Home Pest Control, please read the following:

The practice of pest control and gardening has been around for longer than you might think: at least as long as common agriculture. This industry is expanding at a phenomenal rate. The pest control business has grown more than 50 percent in the last 5 years or so, and nationwide it has become a $7 billion industry.

Remote locations have become a very a popular site for new homes. The desert and the woods are attractive and appealing locations for some people For an insect or an animal termed a ‘pest’ it is you who is the intruder into their habitat and not vice versa. Since they get into your home and are unwanted they become pests.

One has to ask oneself what Gardening and Pest control actually means?

Getting rid of unwanted pests is the ultimate goal. Whereas structural pest control is the control of household pests and wood-destroying pests and organisms or such other pests which may invade households or structures, gardening  and pest control tends to be the control of pests that are affecting your plants, lawn and/or soil. Although infestation of the house can be a problem it is predominantly the garden that should be worried about.

Protecting the plants in your garden must be done in order to have healthy produce results. It is often ignored until pests and their damage are discovered or it has got out of hand. There are steps that one can take to help get rid of the problem at hand.

What can we do to contain the unwanted pests in our garden?

Both gardening and pest control are considered easy and hence majority sees them as do it yourself jobs. Well that’s fair enough - up to a point. Determining the best pest control for your garden is much like getting a doctor’s diagnosis, you need to know what is causing the problem, what to use to eliminate the pest and how to prevent further injury. Polls indicated that too many people feel they know what they’re doing when they don’t, and that they don’t need to read or follow the instructions on the can.

As a result, insecticide will be applied in too high a concentration, which may be dangerous for you or your houseguests. Naturally, we are talking about chemicals, since chemical pest control remains the primary method used in modern pest control. However, that said, the long-term effects of chemicals has led to a renewed interest in traditional and biological pest control towards the end of the 20th century.

For those who don’t do DIY gardening and pest control, there is the option of monthly visits from your local home pest control company. One of the benefits of having monthly pest control is that somebody should be checking out your house and garden  on a regular basis for pest . One disadvantage of monthly pest control is that homeowners insist that PCOs apply a chemical treatment monthly whether there is a pest problem or not!

It is astonishing to see the factual pattern of the pesticides used in the home and the garden;

1. Each year 67 million pounds of pesticides are applied to lawns

2. Agricultural acreage consumes far less pesticide than suburban lawns do.

Please use any kind of pesticide with greatest caution. There are are insects which are a help in keeping the pests in check and the fear is you may kill them. In the future, this will probably mean that you must bug bomb your home. There are benefits to having creatures that are often thought of as ‘pests’ in your garden; for one thing without them pollination cannot take place! Don’t use persistent, broad-spectrum, contact insecticides like diazinon, malathion and carbaryl. These provide only temporary pest control and are likely to kill more of the natural enemies than the pests. When their enemies are gone, pest populations may soar and become more of a problem than before they were sprayed.

Most consumers also don’t realize how potentially harmful they can be:

1. Pesticides are easily tracked indoors, an EPA study found 23 pesticides in dust and air inside homes.Consumers don’t realize the dangers.

2 Garden chemicals are harmful to our environment and the US Geological Survey routinely discovers evidence of them, especially weed killers, in the waterways around urban centers.

The question of going without such forms of pest control is a thought-provoking one.

Gardening and Natural Home Pest Control

Pest control and gardening is best achieved with a balance of organisms in the yard. Natural pest control protects you, your garden, local wildlife and the environment and, as an added bonus, it costs less than pesticides.

Here are some tips for controlling pests in your garden:

1. Traps, covers barriers or repellants may work well in the physical aspect.

2. There are a variety of plants that provide both pollen and nectar constantly. Planting these will attract ‘good’ bugs to your garden.

3. By preventing pests from reaching your plants, you can avoid the damage they cause. And in cases where you only see a few pests, physically removing them can often keep the problem under control.

Many people face this same problem, you are not alone. Thousands of people across the world are also looking for home pest control, so we hope this has been of help.

Ladies Go Private If You Need A Wonder Drug

health insurance  has been paying for the miracle drug Herceptin which has been used by some breast cancer patients after the NHS declined to give them Herceptin.

Since last year BUPA has provided Herceptin to around one hundred ladies who were acknowledged as being in the beginning stages of the lethal HER-2 positive type of breast cancer.  Standard Life has at the same time purportedly paid for the same drug in 30 cases in the beginning development of breast cancer. And since the previous year Norwich Union has also provided for Herceptin in initial stage cases.

Lately 2 women with early stage breast cancer went to the High Court in an effort to get Herceptin for treatment out of their health trusts. The trouble is that Herceptin is so costly. It costs more than 20,000  pounds for a year on Herceptin and some cash-strapped have plainly declined to fund the drug, even though Patricia Hewitt the the Secretary of Health, has instructed them to make it available if doctors feel it will help.

The medicine is used following surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy to avoid  the reoccurrence of HER-2 positive. In subsequent years the drug has been used by the NHS for women with late-stage cancer. But , Roche, its manufacturer has just lately applied to the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence for its agreement to use the drug in first stage cases.

Mrs C M from Nottingham was 6 months’ pregnant when she first realised she had a lump in her left breast. ‘My Doctor first thought the lump was a blocked milk duct’, she said. But it didn’t go away and after I had my baby I mentioned it during a routine check-up. She was then sent to a specialist.

The consultant diagnosed her with HER-2 positive breast cancer, but she lives in Leeds  an area where Herceptin was not provided by the local health trust. Luckily for her she had health insurance with BUPA which was prepared to pay for the medicine on her specialists suggestion.

’If I’d been told I couldn’t have it, I would have been devastated’ she said. At a moment in time when you are in shock and fighting to get well, you don’t need another fight for the best treatment to help you.’

There is a slight possibility that Herceptin can cause heart failure, so Bupa is carefulcautious to fund the drug only when the judgment to use it has been made jointly between the patient and her consultant. A representative from Bupa said: ‘Many drugs have possible side effects. We never make a decision to permit any explicit drug without receiving evidence of its probable benefits. We believe we have now made a proper assessment.  And other medical insurers have made the same decision – branches of the NHS have now determined to pay for Herceptin in the initial stage of HER-2 positive breast cancer.’

But not all medical insurance companies will cover the cost of Herceptin. Axa PPP says: ‘Our policies provide for the treatment of acute illnesses which are likely to respond quickly to drugs. With cancer, this can include surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Our company does not pay for treatment that has not been proven as being effective. For this reason we do not fund for the use of Herceptin treatment of breast cancer that has not accelerated (that is the cancer remains a primary disease). AXA and other private health companies are conscious of new tests with Herceptin for treating primary breast cancer, but this evidence has yet to be wholly assessed by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence so it has not been subject to full scrutiny.

Bupa advocate that women who want to ensure they are fully covered for the use of Herceptin should ask their medical insurer the next five questions:

1. If I get breast cancer and it then spreads to my lungs - Will they cover me for secondary cancer?

2. Will the private medical insurance cover you for all stages from diagnosis through to treatment?

3. What quality accreditation does the treatment need to make sure that you are diagnosed and treated?

4. Will the medical insurance cover you to use Herceptin for both the initial and late stages of cancer? If so,how long would this go on?

5. When would the insurer stop paying for cancer treatment?

Downline retention Is Critical for Accomplishing In Multilevel Marketing

To preserve the downline retention to minimum is a aspiration of any network marketer. In plain language, for every individual he takes into an organization to his MLM organization, another two or even more will quit before even commencing to develop their project. One more unpleasant reality about network marketing business is that over 90 % of mlm networkers are losing money, instead of being profitable. This problem really assures the erosion of the downlines. Consequently the permanent solution how to end downline attrition and establish and keep together a workable downline associates, is the aspiration of all determined Mlm network marketers.

So, how then build up a stronger downline? How to maintain the downlines and the downline downlines? There are countless situations to accomplish downline retention. To start with, before one member is recruited, pick out every prospect carefully; choose the ones who do have the true wish do to do what it takes to make it.

It follows that, provide detailed coaching since nearly all of the new associate possess no marketing or networking qualifications. The fact is most of the multilevel marketing businesses hand out superb central training to maintain the downline retention to lowest amount. But by becoming a leader, one may surpass yet by providing own unique recruiting system. There abundance of types all-around, particularly, if one is working on internet for sponsorship and marketing.

Certainly, internet opened an staggering strategic window for the other recruiting systems. Due to the internet potential, one technique for arranging a steady downline is programming a particular downline builder network that will assist every person in the MLM business. Several of the scripts are quite dated as the internet advances quickly; certain are entirely new and extremely good quality indeed. Checking out Google will help to find the precise script for any enthusiastic sponsor.

On the other hand, with the know-how comes a immense accountability. Implementing the scripts and working  on online campaign should never ever substitute a indispensable human touch. multilevel marketing was and is about people joining people. Here nothing has changed through the time. Internet has not changed that aspect of network marketing, either. Great downline retention means that the sponsor has got to interact individually with the people he recruited. Shifting the manner from a recruiter to a sponsor and supplying the downline members very good support and reason will produce miracles: the miracles that are able to make downline retention work.

Creating a calender with gimp

When have you last been in need for a quick present for your Mom at the end of the year? And you know that she was always fond of your travel photos?

Then try the free GIMP calender plugin from http://www.naturfotokalender.de. It is a free and easy to use plugin for the well known gimp graphics program. It was originally created by Moritz Mekelburger for Fotokalender software, that is how we germans call “make your own calender”.

This program proofed to be a really powerful tool, and so it was enhanced by naturfotokalender.de in order to be able to create the whole year at once. You will find instructions on a page called Kalender erstellen mit eigenen Fotos.

The calender plugin lets you choose a directory with pictures for every month, then creates a gimp pic with all the months as layers. The next step is to indicate where you want your calender to be rendered and then you start the plugin again. You have to state the year for which the calender is created and off you go!

After the plugin is done you have 12 pictures each embedded with a calender for the corresponding month.

If you need a little incitation for you own calender, you can have a look around on the site, the site itself features a lot more, there is a fine collection of calenders with nature photography (for example the well known GEO Kalender Die Alpen), so the site is worth a visit no matter if you want to create your own calender or not.

The Simple Way To Find And Buy Great Gifts

In this economy, one of the hardest things to do is to spend money on things that are not required in day-to-day living. Despite the fact that the economy is bad, life goes on: people have birthdays, people get married and buy anniversary gift ideas, there are hollidays and traditions and reasons to celebrate.

Most of these events call for some form of gift-giving, which can put someone who is financially struggling in a tough position. We’ve all been there- it’s the cable bill or a gift, so we call in sick or make up an excuse not to attend these functions. This causes us to miss out on opportunities to socialize about personalized gifts and enjoy one-another’s company.

As an alternative, try putting away ten dollars - yes, only ten dollars! - and the next time you are invited to one of these events, put your money into action.

Most people enjoy getting a gift, no matter what the cause, simply because it is simply that: a gift. So it is not at all unacceptable to get the birthday girl a nice candle from Wal-Mart. These candles range anywhere from $1-$5, on the inexpensive side, and smell wonderful. Simply pick up the candle and swing on over to the personalized retirement gifts gift-wrapping section. Pick up a nice gift bag for only $1 and some gift tissue for only $1 and take all to the register.

If you have a couple dollars to spare, go to the candy isle and grab a bag of Hershey’s chocolate kisses or Life Savers mints- some sort of candy that is individually wrapped. When you get home, put the tissue into the gift bag, and set the candle inside of the tissue. Pour the candy in a “sprinkling” manner all around the candle, and take a look at what you’ve done: this is a nice gift that anyone would enjoy getting, and you’ve spent less than $10, tax and all.

The Story Of Kanturk Castle, Co. Cork Ireland

“A man’s home is his castle…” so the saying affirms. Uunfortunately in this case, it seems Kanturk Castle, Co. Cork, Ireland never became a residence. Regardless of it, what did get built was and is impressive. The main edifice is made up of four story, while each tower reaches 5 story.

Today as you ramble around this fine old building, it’s hard to think that it was raised in about 1601. Twenty scores later and it is still remaining strong. ‘Bualadh bos’ to the stone masons. (Bualadh bos is Irish/Gaelic for applause or praise) Legend has it that sEven stonemasons all named John worked on the Castle. Therefore at one time the fortress was referred to as “Carrig-na-Shane-Saor” i.e. The Rock of John the Mason.

There are various points of view on whom exactly the castle was constructed for. Some think it was McDonogh MacCarthy, while others say it was Dermot McOwen. Even the dating of the building cannot be agreed upon. Generally it is said to be late 16th century early 17th century.

Why was it that he never inhabited it? Well, there is some more to that adage: ‘A man’s home is his castle …, but that is, ‘until the Queen arrives’. The neighbors of Kanturk Castle were growing a bit concerned about the hugeness of this edifice and to the intentions of its purpose. The Privy Council, which was like close advisors to the Queen of England at the time, was informed and ordered the work on the castle to cease. Thus, ‘A man’s home is his castle until the queen arrives’.

So agitated the overlord was, it’s said that he broke the leaded glass and the tiles and tossed them into the river.

Down through time after that the ownership changed ownership numerous times. Now it is taken care of by An Taisce - The National Trust for Ireland, since July 14th 2000.

Why not come and see Kanturk Castle, Co. Cork, Ireland for yourself. As you move around fantasize being in the 15/1600s with the Mc Donagh MacCarthy’s at Kanturk Castle.

What can Israel Offer Tourists from Australia?

Israel’s summer months, which occur during the winter for Australians, are completely dry. If you are coming for the sun, beaches and water sports, you can rest assured that not even one day of your visit will be interrupted by rain.

Israel boasts hundreds of miles of beautiful beaches dotted with world-class beach resorts. Para-gliding, wind-sailing, snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities are abundant. Scuba enthusiasts will especially enjoy the unique opportunity to dive among ancient Roman-era ruins in the shallows of the Mediterranean Sea, or enjoy the grand coral displays nestled in the clear blue waters of the Red Sea.

Israel also caters to hikers with vast networks of marked, but largely untouched hiking trails crisscrossing geographical locations as diverse as deserts, pine forests and snow-covered mountains. Come during Israel’s winter months and you can even ski!

A Culinary Experience
Israel has something special to offer the culinary tourist as well. Home to Jewish immigrants from around the world and Arab clans from all reaches of the Middle East, Israel’s national menu is as diverse as they come. Chefs who compete at the highest levels in European competitions stand ready to serve up this wide array of specialties at an every growing number of gourmet establishments.

Complementing Israel’s rich assortment of foods is a local wine industry that is starting to grab the attention of top international critics. Wines from many of Israel’s boutique and larger wineries - all of which offer tours and tastings - continue to win international awards and accolades.

Historical Crossroads
Having played host to some of the world’s most ancient civilizations, Israel is a paradise for history buffs. Just about every patch of dirt in Israel has some bit of history underneath it, often making construction of new structures a nightmare.

Fully developed archeological sites providing a glimpses of life in pre-historic times, the biblical period, the Roman era and the Middle Ages - to name just a few - abound in Israel. Each and every historical site carries a unique story that could fill books, and many have.

A special bit of history for Australians is the famous charge of the Australian Light Horse Brigade during the Battle of Beersheba in 1917, widely reputed as the last successful cavalry charge in history. The charge effectively broke the Ottoman Empire’s southern defenses, allowing British General Lord Edmund Allenby to advance on and capture Jerusalem and marking a major turning point in World War I.

A memorial to the Australian Light Horse has been erected in the southern Israel city of Beersheba, and more than 1,000 Australians, New Zealanders and Britons came to Israel in 2007 to reenact the charge on its 90th anniversary.

The Holy Land
Israel is best known to travelers as the Holy Land, an area central to all three of the world’s monotheistic religions.

Jerusalem is the heart of the Holy Land, hosting the Temple Mount, Western Wall and the Garden Tomb where Jesus is said to have been buried. But the rest of the country is not left wanting for religious significance.

Jesus’ boyhood home of Nazareth and his base of ministry on the shores of the Sea of Galilee are sites not to be missed. Nor would any tour be complete without visits to locations in Israel’s southern desert and central mountain regions that the biblical patriarchs called home.

All in all, Israel is a well-rounded travel destination for every kind of tourist, and is second to none for those interested in history and religious pilgrimage.

Honeycombe panel applicationa re varied

Honeycomb sandwich panels are a common structural form, mixing high rigidity, low weight and low thermal inertia, and are a favorite structure for glass mirror substrates. Their property of low thermal inertia, and the resulting absence of convective distortion, has recently been recognized as a fundamental advantage for large ground-based optical systems. Honeycomb is a popular core material for structural metal panels because of its high strength to weight ratio and resistance to fatigue failures. A wide variety of products including metals and composite materials have been used to make the honeycomb cores.

honeycomb core panel are widely used from aerospace to recreation. They are found in transportation vehicles on land, from cars and trucks to high-speed trains. By sea, they can be found from fast ferries to mammoth ships.Widely used in dividers, ceilings, rubber coin trailer flooring and floors, honeycomb panels replace sheets of plywood and metal in nearly every application of nearly all industry. Honeycomb panels are also easily broken in the factory before they are installed and Vulvox’s product will reduce damage at the site of manuafcture. They will replace heavier assemblies of honeycomb sandwich panels with lighter, stronger structures. Thus the panels are widely used in many industrial and commercial applications of the day-to-day life. Thus, each panel possessing some different characteristics suitable for that particular environment.

Individual panels can include integrally bonded hard points to accept heavy attachments. After being machined on the in-house 3 axis CNC Router, panels can be fitted with potted inserts to provide attachments for brackets, shelving and other fittings.
